911 at 3 am.... o.O

Hmmm.... were to begin.
I guess I could start by saying that I was at a friends place helping her with a computer program.  After hours of chatting and getting our frustrations vented, we decided to call it a night.  She had picked me up from my apartment earlier that evening, so she was driving me back out of the kindness of her heart, so that my husband wouldn't have too.

We were at the stop light that intersects the old state street in orem that then merges into 500 west in Provo.  Our light had just turned green and we were beginning to pull forward to make a left turn.  Now out of the corner of my eye I see something zooming down the street.  My friend driving stalled the car and before we knew it, a black sedan raced through the red light, in the lane we were about to turn into.  The vehicle was going at least over a hundred so any other identification about the car was hard to impossible to find out.
Shocked by the fact we could have been metal jelly, we slowly made the turn onto 500, being cautious as we pulled into that part of the street.

I watched from a distance as the black car almost hit ANOTHER vehicle in the same lane as it, as it continued to race down the road.  It swerved out of the way as the black car went through another red light and kept barreling down the street.

Flustered even further by the situation, I turned towards my friend Bre, and told her we should probably report the car.
We did a funky turn and parked at Macey's.  She asked if I wanted to call the dispatch but I had never done it before, and I can say I was pretty intimidated by the idea.
She didn't want it on her conscious so she made the call.

But what number do you call?  Especially at 3 in the morning?
Well 911 seemed logical so that's what she ended up dialing.

I could hear the lady on the receiving end, as she began to question bre about the events that happened.

To put it roughly, we described the car the best we could, how long ago it had happened, and what street we saw it take off on.
Then the lady asked her for her name and other personal information.
I can only assume they do that so they can know for sure that we weren't just crank calling.

After hanging up, we looked at each other and were suddenly very nervous about being in the car.  Let alone away from any place that wasn't home.

That was probably on the same level as the time I had someone stalking me in Macey's the grocery store.  (Ironic yes for the location but that's another story for another time.)
I felt insecure and scared out of my mind.  It was like we had just reported a mob boss and it seemed like we were the next hit targets for murder.  (I only put it that way because that's how I saw it.)
I started to get shaky and nauseous.  Doesn't help I'm 8 months pregnant either, so I had further paranoia about the situation.

Bre pulled out of the parking lot and we tried discussing how we felt about it.  We didn't get very far in the conversation.  I wanted to be held by my man and vent to him about what was going on.  To feel protected and comforted.  My friend from perspective seemed to wish she had a man to comfort her like that too.  Seeing she had none, by the time we got to my place, she asked to come inside so she didn't have to get right back on the road.

I came in and sat next to my husband.  Feeling extremely grateful that we got to my home safely, and further more, were inside and not in the car anymore.

I had text him lightly about the situation and after we arrived, we explained in better detail what happened.

After sometime, Bre finally felt comfortable enough to leave, and I continued cuddling on the couch with my hubby.
We tried watching The Office to help soothe my nerves. But I was still very wound up from the situation, so I couldn't sleep until seven in the morning.

My alarm went off at 8:30 am and I wanted to shoot myself in the foot for forgetting that I was going to go to my husbands job with him that day.
So after only getting the 1.5 of sleep, I slunked out of bed and got ready for the day.

So something to remember to make it a more positive experience...
We did the right thing by reporting the car. Who knows what could have happened if we had just simply blown it off because we saw it as another persons problem.
Secondly, I feel better knowing that after making such a call, police were most likely alerted so they could catch the idiot that was driving recklessly.  Thus ensuring our thought of protecting someone else out there.
And lastly, I'm glad Bre stalled the car and noticed the vehicle as well.  Who knows what would have happened if she didn't.  We both could be dead today.  And I wouldn't be writing this.

But most important.

I'm very very happy about the fact I was able to seem my husband again.  Life isn't something you take for granted.  Regardless of what you're doing.  You never know when something like this is going to happen.  Granted we didn't even get close enough for the car to hit us thank goodness, but what would have happened if we weren't paying attention to the road?

I think it's safe to say this.

NEVER assume, even if it's that late at night, when you see deserted streets like that it's okay to not pay attention to your surroundings.

The beginning

Well i guess to get started there are a few things you might want to know.

I've been married now to the greatest man I've ever met. And when I say MAN I literally mean just that. Caleb is his name.
All the people I've been with up til now, don't even compare to how this guy treats me.  I'm spoiled according to how my mom puts it.  But what I'm getting at is he's the most supportive, attractive, understanding and the most non-judgmental person there is out there.  Therefore somehow I'm spoiled lol.
He's a southern gent, with a way of just knowing how to listen and understand what I need.  I have a pretty fowl temper when it comes down to it.
Caleb is the ONLY one that knows how to cool me down without setting me off more.  That's a rare quality that I am going to keep far beyond the day I die.

I've been married for well over a year and three months.  I was married in the Salt Lake Temple and I'm proud to say I'm a Mormon.  I am still learning everyday how to become a better person and I found that this religion is the best way for me to do so.  Others may not agree but that's why I put it simply that this is what's best FOR ME.

My husband and I are starting a family of our own and she's going to be here in about a month.  I"m very excited but scared at the same time.  Hopefully I'll know what to do.  As a new mom, there are a lot of things I don't know.  So maybe instinct will take over.  I'll continue my thought on that in a moment.

I come from a divorced family.  It's a bit of a touchy subject but to get to the point, my parents got divorced when I was three and my mom then re-married five years later to a gentleman named Scott.  I now have three younger half siblings and a puppy haha.  More tales to come on this topic of family.  I'm the second oldest of seven kids.  Four girls and three boys.

To continue on my thought process from before, I'm in my early twenties and about to have a baby girl named Raine.  She's due in Septemeber and I can't wait to meet her.  She's certainly causing an uproar on my insides and I bet my organs are done taking a beating too haha
Most people when hearing her name are like: "That's such a unique name! I love it or I love the way that sounds."  Until they find out my last name and then they think I'm joking.  Nope.  Raine I. Weathers. It's NOT pronounced Rain-y.  It's pronounced RAIN.  Like the weather outside.  More irony on the last name I have.
I don't care what other people think.  It's my kid and it doesn't matter what you name a child, they will get picked on for something in this life and kids will find it.  That's why it's my job as a parent to teach my child to learn tough love and understanding.

Aaaaaaaaanyway.

Life here in the Weathers household has been epic.  I just moved about a couple weeks ago into a new apartment with my hubby.  It's a one bedroom with a cute and quaint set up.  I love it because everything is within easy reach for me.  My kitchen is connected directly to my living room and my bedroom has a bathroom IN IT instead of outside it.  My last place had the bathroom in the hallway and it felt like MILES to get to it.  Especially at night and eight months pregnant haha.
Now it's a a couple feet from my bed and I can't complain :)

Moving on.

Tonight, I'm cooking my hubby some dinner with brown gravy, rice, and stewing beef.  With a side of mashed potatoes.  It'll be so yummy to have a simple meal. With a little candle light that's artificial and some good jazz music in the background :3
